BAC 2021: Philodéfi, the app to master Descartes, Freud and the others!
To revise the Bac Philo in a different way! An application to play with 12 philosophers and 84 philosophical notions.

Professor of philosophy for more than 20 years, I have developed with the Philodéfi card game an original method to understand and memorize the thoughts of the great philosophers. Philodéfi is based on the principle of the mental map: in one image is summarized the thought of a philosopher and in this image 7 major notions or quotes from the author are integrated.
The 12 authors I have chosen are classic and you have certainly approached them in class: Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Descartes, Pascal, Rousseau, Kant, Hegel, Marx, Nietzsche, Freud and Bergson.
On Youtube, type "Philodéfi": you will discover a 7-minute video which presents René Descartes and his 7 philosophical notions. Do you like this first step? You are ready to go further and join the digital application!
With the digital application, I invite you to find the universe of the card of each philosopher with the 7 concepts which correspond to it. By reading the content, designed as review sheets, you make the connection with the illustration and the drawings and you easily memorize the whole.
Start with the philosophers you prefer. After having revised 2 or 3 philosophers, with the Cartesian success, launch yourself a first challenge and check that you can attribute to each philosopher his 7 notion cards!
As you learn, add new philosophers to your list and take on more complex challenges ...
You will see it for yourself: quickly you will be able to memorize the concepts and retain the coherence of each thinker. And in no time, you will be able to distribute the 84 notions among the 12 philosophers!
When learning is done without stress, in a fun way, memorization is easier and more durable!
When you have mastered the content of the digital application, you can go to the site www.philodefi.fr and order the card game: this will be an opportunity to play with others and to discover games allowing you to develop your voice. and argumentation.
With “the Philosophical Incarnation”, starting from a Bac-type subject, each player chooses to embody a philosopher to answer the subject ... you must therefore speak up and explain your choices. It is also a good training for the big oral! :)
