Important and Emergency Alerts from the Jacksonville Jaguars to their Fans
The Jacksonville Jaguars are committed to fan safety and security. Through this unique application, team administrators will be able to send important and possibly life-saving information to their fans at home and away.
Some of the key features of this app are:
• Messages will only be issued through the App by Team personnel; ensuring that all messages are true and accurate
• Only important messages will be issues through the App, ensuring that Fans are only alerted when necessary
• Messages that are urgent will carry with them the ability to override silent and do not disturb settings, ensuring that these potentially life-saving messages are noticed immediately
• Users can use the App to instantly reach security personnel, instilling a confidence that security personnel are only a click of a button away.
The App uses location services to determine if a fan is in a dangerous area. If so, then any urgent or life-threatening alert will carry with it an audible notification. The control of how this works though is with the fan:
• Fans can disable the override audible notification via a simple toggle, and
• If the fan has disabled location services, they won’t get the override audible notification, but they will still receive the alert
The App has been designed with the Fans’ safety in mind. Every Jags fan is encouraged to download the App before coming to a game.
