We are a consortium of researchers and practitioners from Denmark and India, who are collaborating to develop a basis for pursuing integrated water resources management (IWRM) for the Berach Basin, Udaipur, India. The Berach Basin serves as a backbone for the economic and social activities in the Udaipur region, however, the limited knowledge around key hydrological fluxes poses a significant challenge for its sustainable management. Growing water demand, limited institutional capacity, and changing climate will only exacerbate the distribution and availability of water resources in this basin. Hence, it is key to develop an integrated model that can represent catchment behavior and support management decisions.
